About
Let Me Introduce Myself

Who am I? I'm Dolores Jacobs and I have been weaving on a floor loom, spinning with drop spindles and spinning wheels, dyeing and processing raw wool fleece, alpaca, mohair and exotic fibers for many years.
Previous Experience: My husband & I owned plant nurseries for over 20 years, after retiring from the nursery business I now have time to pursue my passion with fiber arts.
What do I do? Fleece and Fiber is what I love! Understanding what a hand-spinner requires in a fleece, I am able to provide the best selection of breeds and quality raw or processed fleece. I have made YouTube Videos teaching weaving and discussing spinning, dyeing and other fiber arts.
Education: I am mostly self taught in most of my arts. I am currently learning to spin better by taking: Spinning & Fiber Extravaganza online course. I have also earned my certification as a Master Scourer. Learning never ends, I am constantly learning and exploring something new.
Saving Endangered Breeds: I am an authorized provider for the Livestock Conservancy's, Shave 'em to Save 'em program to encourage the use of rare breed sheep's wool. I locate and deal with small farms and local shepherds to source wool from these wonderful breeds.
My Mission: Keeping these heritage breeds in use and educate or introduce them to as many people as possible. I also want to keep the weaving and spinning traditions alive. Creating hand-made items is what I enjoy doing.
I Need Your Help: Please join me in exposing the next generation to this wonderful way of life. Teach them weaving, spinning, and the importance of keeping the rare breeds alive.
