Staple Length: 6.5"    VM:  Minimal  Crimp:  Dual-Coated

This wool is from a ewe named Opal. Karakul is a Dual-coated breed so the long fibers are coarse and the shorter fiber has more crimp and is softer.  You can comb it to separate the two fibers or card them together.  Excellent felting wool. TIP: Scour gently or may felt.
In its raw state, it looks beige but, it is a brilliant white when scoured. I washed these locks using Unicorn Power Scour which revealed their bright white and lustrous shine.  See the before and after photo.

***I photograph the fleece in bright sunshine to try to get the most accurate color replication.
