Staple Length: 3"    VM:  Minimal  Crimp:  Dual-Coated

Norman is a Lamb ram with black fleece.  He was named Norman because he was born on D-Day.   This is a hogget fleece, the first searing so, the wool is softer than an older ewe.  The lamb's hogget fleece does not always show the dual-coated features.  This is one that has a nice soft inner coat throughout the fleece.  This should spin into a beautiful yarn with close-to-skin softness.
Karakul is a Dual-coated breed so the long fibers are coarse and the shorter fiber has more crimp and is softer.  You can comb it to separate the two fibers or card them together.  Excellent felting wool.
I washed these locks using Unicorn Power Scour which left it clean and soft.
